THE CHALLENGES

Pick a dare. Grab your crew.

Every badge starts with a challenge. Do the thing, post your proof and tag @thewhooptroop, then wear the badge or stick the sticker. The Whoop Troop runs on the honor code.

The Holiday Drop

Five winter challenges made for doing with your crew. Longest Night is a limited edition and retires December 31.

FORT BUILDER

Build a fort. Eat dinner in it.

The challenge: Build a fort big enough for your whole crew, give it a name, then serve a real dinner inside it. Snow fort or blanket fort, either one earns the badge.

Built yours in the living room? Get the Blanket Fort badge or sticker.

LONGEST NIGHT · LIMITED EDITION

Throw a light parade during the longest nights.

The challenge: On or around the winter solstice (December 21), wrap your crew in string lights, glow sticks and headlamps, then parade through the dark together. The more lit up, the better, dog included. Retires January 31.

JINGLE JAM

Make your own instruments. Go caroling.

The challenge: Round up at least three people and make your own instruments: coffee-can drums, jingle-bell jars, pot-lid cymbals. Then carol at a friend’s or neighbor’s door as a band. Every player plays something they made.

BLACK TIE PLUNGE

Take a polar plunge. In black tie.

The challenge: Whenever your crew gets together this winter, dress up in your fanciest and take a polar plunge. Freezing and fancy. Have towels and something warm waiting, never plunge alone, and keep it short.

HOLLY JOLLY HUNT

Deck the strangers.

The challenge: Print the hunt card, grab your crew and talk willing strangers into festive photo ops. Decorate one like a Christmas tree, gift-wrap one, let it snow on one. Fill 8 of the 12 squares to earn it. Ask first, always, and thank every good sport with a candy cane, a vintage gift or a “You’ve been Jolly’d” card.

Print the Holly Jolly Hunt card (PDF) before you go. Page 2 has the “You’ve been Jolly’d” cards.

The Starter Set

Eight challenges to start with, available all year.

ADVENTURE BUDDY

Adventures are better shared.

The challenge: Plan a mini adventure for your pet, or friend or family member who rarely gets out. Make the day about them, and show us the two of you.

ROAD TRIP DJ

Make the playlist. Drive somewhere new.

The challenge: Build a road-trip playlist and go at least 50 miles to a town you've never visited. Find one thing there worth bragging about and share the playlist on our socials so other Troopers can steal it.

ORDINARY IS OPTIONAL

Take something normal and do it in a way nobody expects.

The challenge: Pick something routine you'd do anyway (breakfast, grocery run, walking the dog) and do it in an unordinary way. Breakfast on the roof. Groceries in a ball gown. Then show us your version!

GOLDEN HOUR

Wake up for a sunrise somewhere new.

The challenge: Catch a sunrise from a spot you've never watched one before, then capture it your way: a photo, a sketch, a painting, a poem.

OFF THE MAP

Hike a trail you've never set foot on.

The challenge: Hike or walk a marked trail that's new to you. Any length counts. Find the best view, stop to look, and show us the trailhead sign or your view.

BRAVE FACE

Do one thing that scares you a little.

The challenge: An open mic, a solo dinner out, a first climbing session, a karaoke solo. Tell us how nervous you were from 1 to 10, before and after.

WHEELS UP

Ride something you've never tried.

The challenge: Take a first ride on something new to you: roller skates, a skateboard, a tandem bike, a dirt-bike lesson.

YES, AND!

Take something fun and make it MORE.

The challenge: Take an experience you'd already enjoy (a picnic, a hike, game night) and add one twist that makes it more: a theme, costumes, a surprise location, a dare.
