How it works

The Whoop Troop is a merit-badge club for grown-ups who refuse to be boring. Try the thing that scares you a little. Turn an ordinary day into something memorable. Create a reason to connect.

STEP 1

Pick a challenge.

Every badge comes with a dare. Choose one that makes you a little nervous, or a lot excited.

STEP 2

Do the thing.

Go do it, solo or with your crew. Then post your proof and tag @thewhooptroop so the Troop can cheer you on.

STEP 3

Wear the proof.

Get your patch and wear it on a jacket, a bag or a hat, or stick the sticker anywhere you like.

The honor code

There’s no app and no badge police. The Troop runs on trust: you earn it, then you wear it. Only buy a badge for a challenge you’ve actually done, or give it to someone who’s about to.

Be brave, not reckless: follow local laws and skip anything that isn’t safe for you.

Questions

Can I give a badge as a gift?

Yes. Give the patch along with the dare, and the badge is theirs to earn.

Do I have to post on social media?

Posting proof is how the Troop cheers each other on, but the honor code is what counts.

Can I do a challenge with my group?

Absolutely. Most challenges are even better with a crew: a family, a book club, a work team.

What’s the difference between a badge and a sticker?

Badges are 3″ embroidered patches you can iron on, sew on or pin on. Stickers are 3″ vinyl versions of the same designs for water bottles, laptops and gear.

Do the holiday challenges have deadlines?

Do them whenever your crew gets together this winter. The only exception is Longest Night, a limited edition that retires January 31.
